Why I downsized from my "dream" clinic ✂️

Hey there Healers!

Before COVID, my clinic had no debt.
It was large.
Busy.
Full.
And I was exhausted! 😩

  • I was treating at full physical capacity.
  • Recruiting practitioners.
  • Helping them grow their practices.
  • Managing personalities.
  • Managing overhead.
  • Managing growth.
  • Every spare ounce of energy was being funneled back into the business.

Then COVID hit.

Doors closed.
Revenue paused.
Stress skyrocketed.

So I did what any ambitious clinic owner would: I doubled down.

  • I sponsored four international osteopaths to move to Canada.
  • Navigated immigration.
  • Worked around restrictions.
  • Took on significant debt.
  • Tried to build my way out of uncertainty.
  • Some of those risks didn’t pan out.
  • Maternity leaves.
  • A practitioner battling cancer.
  • Lease renewal with a substantial increase.
  • COVID loans to repay.

It was a tumultuous few years.
But I remember the exact moment everything crystallized.
I saw my rent adjustment for the upcoming year.
And I knew.
I couldn’t keep feeding a model that was feeding of me.

So I made a decision that surprised a lot of people.

I left my "dream" clinic I had built for 10 years (It was a REALLY beautiful space!)
I Downsized.
Went from a large multi-practitioner operation to renting one and a half offices.

And eventually?
I became a solo practitioner.
Not because I failed.
Because I evolved.

I had outgrown a structure I built in my early 30s.
Honestly...
❌ I don’t love managing people.
❌ I don’t love accountability conversations.
❌ I don’t love constantly optimizing overhead.

✅ I love treating.
✅ I love teaching.
✅ I love creating.
✅I love studying.
✅ I love being home with my husband and dogs.
✅ I love painting.
✅ I love rhythm.
And for years, I had been trading my time for a version of “growth” that no longer aligned.

Here’s what no one talks about:

When you chase revenue without clarity, you can build something impressive…
that quietly erodes your life.

Expansion is not the same thing as alignment.

And simplification can be one of the most profitable moves you ever make.

Now?

I work fewer days.
I have blocked creative time in my schedule.
My evenings are clear.
My finances are clear.
My overhead is lean.
My nervous system is regulated.
Because when you simplify, everything becomes visible.

🕰️ Time.
⚡️ Energy.
💰 Profit.
🔥 Desire.

And here’s the truth I’ve come to believe:

You can always make more money.
You cannot make more time.
That realization is what shifted everything for me.

This is why at The Wellthy Practice: we’re not just talking about money.
We’re talking about:

⏳ Time wealth
📈 Financial clarity
📱 Technology that protects your capacity
🧘🏻‍♀️ And building a practice that supports your life — not consumes it

Wealth isn’t just revenue.
It’s margin.
➡️ Margin in your schedule.
➡️ Margin in your bank account.
➡️ Margin in your nervous system.

If you’ve been operating on intensity for years, this conversation is for you.

Next week,

we’ll tie this all together:

How to build a Wealthy Practice without hustle, guilt, or burnout.

Until then, ask yourself:

Are you expanding…
Or are you aligning?

You can even let me know directly - just hit reply!

Wishing you a WELL-thy week ahead!

The Myth of Infinite Capacity ♾️
Hey there healers, Last week, I shared a bit about losing my dad unexpectedly last month and how much it disrupted not only my personal life, but my rhythms, routines, and relationship with practice itself. One thing I became acutely aware of through all of it was this: Everything suddenly felt heavier to carry. Answering emails felt heavier. Making decisions felt heavier. Small talk felt h...
How to practice when you're not OK
Hi healers, Last month, life threw me a curveball. What was supposed to be a surprise party and joyful family visit for my mom’s 70th birthday unexpectedly turned into us saying goodbye to my dad. And as I'm sure you can imagine, a lot came up for me.Grief obviously. Sadness. Fear. Disorientation. Numbness. But also something I wasn’t quite expecting: scarcity. Which was interesting because ...
Your success CAN look different 🏅
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been sharing more about my shift into solo practice. I'm not gonna' lie.... I fought the idea of "downsizing" for a while.  Probably several 10's of thousands of dollars too long.... I was straight up attached to a beautiful clinic space I had built out from the studs. I LIKED having people walk into my clinic and say "WOW!"It felt GOOD , and prestigious and suc...
