A Guide for Using the Emotional Anatomy Codex in your next treatment

Hey there healers!
Since you already know the Emotional Anatomy framework, I want to give you a quick way to use it in real time.
When you start working with a patient start to think in the three planes:
Physical 💪
Mental / emotional 🧠
Spiritual 🧘🏻♀️
1. Start with the symptom story
With each patient:
- What are the symptoms, in their words?
- Listen for interesting words that sound emotionally charged. Even voice tone can be telling.
- When did this start?
- What was happening then? Moved? New Job? Loss of a pet or loved one?
- Has it been constant, or does it come and go?
- Does it recur in similar patterns or circumstances as the initial incident?
You’re asking: does this story make sense as a straightforward physical issue?
2. Physical plane: is this clean or “murky”?
Ask yourself:
- Is there a clear physical cause?
- Is it localized or wandering?
- Is it all on one side of the body?
- Are we in the murky territory of:
- Longstanding pain
- Comes and goes
- Unclear pattern or trigger
- Normal tests, ongoing distress
When the physical picture is clean, treat it that way.
When it’s murky or inconsistent, that’s your cue to reach for the Emotional Anatomy patterns from the program.
3. Mental / emotional & spiritual planes
Briefly scan:
-
Mental / emotional:
- Does their emotional tone fit the situation?
- Have you seen this pattern in their history before?
-
Spiritual / meaning:
- What role might this symptom play in their life?
- Is it benefiting them in some way? (ie being able to be off work, avoid conflicts etc)
- How does it fit the story they tell about themselves?
Here’s the core question:
Is this just a symptom, or is the structure expressing something deeper through the physical body?
A simple practice
For the next week, pick one patient per day and jot down in your notes:
- Physical: clean or murky?
- Mental / emotional: what stood out?
- Spiritual/Meaning: what might this symptom be organizing?
You’ll be surprised how fast the Emotional Anatomy lens becomes automatic.
Next email, I’ll show you how to read the upcoming case studies step-by-step, so you can plug them straight into your own style of practice.
Catch you on the table,
💛 Geneviève xo
