If You're In Debt - This Is For You 💳

Hey there Healers!
Over the past few emails, we’ve been talking about money a little more directly than most practitioners are used to.
Your real numbers.
What investing can look like over time.
What’s actually possible.
And for some people, this feels exciting.
But for others…
It may bring up something else:
👉 “I’ll deal with that later… once I’m out of debt.”
I want to talk about that for a second.
Because I know that feeling really well.
There was a time where I went from having ZERO personal or business debt…
to suddenly being responsible for a mega clinic that had more than 10 employees and was closed for nearly a year during COVID.
And just like that—I was sitting in hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt.
Not something I planned.
Not something I wanted.
But it was real.
And my first thought was probably the same as yours:
👉 “Okay… I just need to focus on paying this off.”
👉 “I’ll think about investing later.”
It sounds responsible.
It is responsible.
But here’s what I started to realize:
👉 If I only focused on paying off debt… without changing how I handled money… nothing actually changed.
Because debt isn’t just a math problem.
It’s a system problem.
And this is the part no one really explains clearly—
💳 Let’s look at a real example
Let’s say you have:
👉 $20,000 in credit card debt at 20% interest
👉 $200/week available (~$800/month total)
OPTION 1: “I’ll just focus on paying it off”
You put the full $800/month toward your debt.
👉 You’re debt-free in ~3–3.5 years
That’s a huge win.
But during those same years:
👉 You invested $0
OPTION 2: “I do both”
Now let’s shift it slightly:
👉 $600/month to debt
👉 $200/month to investing
What happens?
👉 Your debt takes a bit longer
~4–5 years instead of 3–3.5
So yes—about 1–1.5 years longer
But now:
👉 You’ve built ~$10,000–$12,000 invested
And if that $200/month keeps growing until 65?
👉 That becomes roughly:
$200,000–$400,000+
⚖️ So what’s the real difference?
It’s not:
“debt vs investing”
It’s:
👉 finishing your debt 1–1.5 years sooner
or
👉 potentially having hundreds of thousands more in your future
And that’s the part most of us were never shown.
Because yes—interest rates matter.
But:
👉 your debt has an end date
👉 your investments compound for decades
So when you wait…
you’re not just delaying investing
👉 you’re delaying what that money could become
This is the shift I made.
I stopped trying to “fix everything first”…
and started building forward at the same time.
In the last year alone:
-
I paid off $70,000 of debt
-
AND went from basically no retirement structure
-
to being on track for a seven-figure future
Not by doing anything extreme.
Not by burning out.
But by creating systems that allowed both to happen.
And if you’re sitting there thinking:
“I’m not there yet…”
Just know—
👉 this is exactly where this work begins.
You don’t need to be debt-free first.
You don’t need to be perfect with money.
You just need:
👉 clarity
👉 structure
👉 and a plan that actually works in real life
And that’s exactly what we’re doing inside the
Wellthy Practice Retreat THIS WEEKEND (April 25–26).
We’re going to help you:
✨ Understand your real numbers (without overwhelm)
✨ Clean up what’s leaking in your practice
✨ Build simple systems so money actually stays with you
✨ And create a plan where you’re not choosing between your present and your future
Because you shouldn’t have to choose.
And if I can leave you with one thing, it’s this:
👉 I’d rather take an extra year to pay off debt
👉 than lose $300,000 of future me’s money in the process
Well-th is for ALL of us,
